Showtime announced today the premiere date for Dexter: Resurrection, the brand-new, highly-anticipated Dexter sequel series starring Michael C. Hall.

Woo hoo! Dexter fans, it’s time to do some serious rejoicing, as Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) will soon be making his long-awaited return to our screens (not just his voice) as serial killer with a conscience Dexter Morgan.
Dexter: Resurrection picks up weeks after the finale of Dexter: New Blood (#ad) when Dexter took a bullet to the chest from his own son, Harrison (Jack Alcott, Dexter: New Blood, The Good Lord Bird). When Dexter awakens from a coma, he finds Harrison gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right.
But closure won’t come easy. When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas, Dexter, The Bear) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him — fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined, and that the only way out is together.
Dexter: Resurrection premieres in the US with two episodes on Friday, July 11, via streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan. It has its on-air debut on Sunday, July 13, at 8pm ET/PT, on Showtime. New episodes will drop weekly.
Internationally, the title will launch exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada, the UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
The series also stars Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction) as Charley, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (The Chi) as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa (Godfather of Harlem) as Detective Melvin Oliva, and Emilia Suárez (Up Here) as Elsa Rivera, with James Remar (Dexter) as Dexter’s father, Harry Morgan, and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) as Leon Prater.
Guest stars include Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) as Lowell, Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) as Mia, Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) as Al, and David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil) as Gareth.
A production of Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios, the series is executive produced by Emmy® nominee Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Dexter: Original Sin, Nurse Jackie), who once again serves as showrunner. Michael C. Hall also serves as executive producer, along with Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris), Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), and Marcos Siega (Dexter: New Blood). Monica Raymund (Dexter: Original Sin) is set to direct four episodes, with Marcos Siega directing six episodes. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
