The trailer for The Institute was just released, and Stephen King has shared it with his fans.

Whenever I read one of best-selling author Stephen King’s stories, or watch a filmed adaptation of one, I get so spooked I have to sleep with the light on. This will likely happen with The Institute, too.
Based on King’s eponymous novel (#ad), the TV series The Institute follows the story of Luke Ellis (Joe Freeman, Doctors), a teen genius who is kidnapped and awakens at The Institute, a facility full of children who all got there the same way he did and who are all possessed of unusual abilities.
Meanwhile, in a nearby town, haunted former police officer Tim Jamieson (Ben Barnes, Shadow and Bone, The Punisher, Gold Digger) has come looking to start a new life, but the peace and quiet won’t last, as his story and Luke’s are destined to collide.
The Institute premieres in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Sweden, Uruguay, and Venezuela on Sunday, July 13, at 9pm ET/PT, on MGM+.
The cast also includes Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds, The West Wing), Simone Miller (Run the Burbs), Fionn Laird (Under the Banner of Heaven), Hannah Galway (Murdoch Mysteries), Julian Richings (The Umbrella Academy), Robert Joy (Julia), and Martin Roach (Reacher).
Directed by Jack Bender (From, Lost) from the teleplay by Benjamin Cavell (SEAL Team, The Stand), the series is executive produced by Stephen King, Jack Bender, Benjamin Cavell, Gary Barber, Sam Sheridan, and Ed Redlich.
