The Rainmaker. First it was John Grisham’s fastest-selling novel. Then it was adapted into a feature film starring Matt Damon and Jon Voight. Now it’s a ten-episode hour-long television drama series.

Starring in USA’s The Rainmaker are Milo Callaghan (Rivals, The Spanish Princess), John Slattery (Mad Men, The Good Fight), Lana Parrilla (Once Upon a Time, The Lincoln Lawyer), Madison Iseman (I Know What You Did Last Summer, American Horror Stories), P.J. Byrne (Big Little Lies, The Boys), Dan Fogler (The Walking Dead, Eric), Wade Briggs (Moonflower Murders, Foundation), and Robyn Cara (Bodkin, Trying).

The story follows Rudy Baylor (Callaghan), a newly-minted law school graduate who ends up going head-to-head against courtroom lion Leo Drummond (Slattery) as well as his law school girlfriend, Sarah (Iseman). Why? Because Rudy, along with his boss, Bruiser (Parrilla), and her disheveled paralegal, Deck (Byrne), uncover two connected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.

The Rainmaker premieres in the US on Friday, August 15, at 10pm ET/PT on USA, with each episode available for streaming on Peacock one week after air.

A production of Lionsgate Television and Blumhouse Television, the series is written, showrun, and executive produced by Michael Seitzman (Code Black), with Jason Richman, John Grisham, David Gernert, and Jason Blum also serving as executive producers.
