Amongst the international TV series that will make their North American premieres on MHz Choice in November is Waterfront, an Afrikaans-language drama from South Africa.
Waterfront marks the first series from South Africa to debut on MHz Choice.
Set against the backdrop of the V&A Waterfront, a beautiful tourist mecca in Cape Town, the thirteen-episode family drama centers on three sisters from an affluent family, who discover family secrets and more after they are forced to return home.
With the death of shipbuilding magnate Ben Myburgh (Dawid Minnaar, Madiba), the fate of the family’s catamaran business is in jeopardy. Only one of his three daughters has inherited the business, prompting the other two to rage with jealousy, as they feel they should be the ones taking over the family empire.
The situation gets complicated when the autopsy reveals that Ben was murdered, making each of his daughters a suspect.
Waterfront premieres in the US and Canada on Tuesday, November 8, exclusively on MHz Choice and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Amazon.
