Sharper is a neo-noir psychological thriller starring Academy Award® winner Julianne Moore (Still Alice), Primetime Emmy® nominee Sebastian Stan (Pam & Tommy), double Oscar® nominee and six-time Emmy® winner John Lithgow (The Crown), Justice Smith (Generation), and Briana Middleton (The Tender Bar).
Set amongst the bedrooms, barrooms, and boardrooms of the greater New York City area — from the penthouses of Fifth Avenue to the shadowy corners of Queens — the story’s characters compete for riches and power in a high stakes game of ambition, greed, lust, and jealousy. Motivations are suspect and expectations are turned upside down when secrets and lies abound and nothing is as it seems.
Sharper, an Apple Original Film, premieres in select theaters on Friday, February 10, and launches globally on February 17 on Apple TV+.
A production of Apple Original Films and A24, the film is directed by Primetime Emmy® winner Benjamin Caron (The Crown), and written by Brian Gatewood (Comrade Detective) and Alessandro Tanaka (Superstore). It is produced by Jessica Switch (Cha Cha Real Smooth) and Erik Feig (Luckiest Girl Alive) of Picturestart, along with Julianne Moore, Bart Freundlich, Brian Gatewood, and Alessandro Tanaka. Julia Hammer and Amy Herman serve as executive producers.
