Netflix has set the global premiere date for its new Kuwaiti drama series The Exchange. Check out the trailer.
Inspired by real events, The Exchange follows two women who set out to pioneer the cutthroat stock market of 1980s Kuwait, and disrupt its corrupt boys club along the way.
It’s the heyday of the Kuwait Stock Exchange — a bastion of Middle Eastern men and money where the bets are bold and the stakes are sky-high. Enter two Kuwaiti women (played by Rawan Mahdi (The Cage), Mona Hussain (Mohamed Ali Road)), who make their way into the now not-so-exclusive boys club to blaze a trail in the male-dominated workplace and become the “Wonders of the Exchange” — on the eve of Saddam Hussein’s invasion of the country.
The Exchange, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Wednesday, February 8, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The cast includes Mohammed Almansour, Faisal AlAmiri, and Hussain Al-Mahdi.
