3 Body Problem
Netflix has set the premiere date for 3 Body problem, the highly-anticipated sci-fi-mystery series from Emmy® Award-winning creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (Game of Thrones) and Emmy®-nominated writer-producer Alexander Woo (The Terror: Infamy, True Blood).

Based on Cixin Liu’s Hugo Award-winning, international best-selling novel The Three-Body Problem and his “Remembrance of Earth’s Past” book trilogy, the eight-episode drama takes place in multiple timelines, from the 1960s to the present day, and in multiple locations, from China and the US, to the UK and the Panama Canal. The story begins in 1960s China, when a young woman makes a fateful decision that reverberates across space and time into the present day. When the laws of nature as we know them inexplicably unravel, a group of brilliant scientists must join forces with an unflinching detective to stop humanity’s greatest threat.

The Brothers Sun
Netflix has released a teaser for the highly-anticipated action comedy-drama series The Brothers Sun, which stars Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) along with Justin Chien (Two Sides: Unfaithful) and Sam Song Li (Never Have I Ever).
The story sees legendary killer Charles “Chairleg” Sun (Justin Chien) going to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his naive and sheltered younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li), after his father, the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad, is shot dead by a mysterious assassin. But as Taipei’s deadliest societies and a rising new faction go head-to-head for dominance, Charles, Bruce, and their mother must heal the wounds caused by their separation and figure out what brotherhood and family really mean before one of their countless enemies kills them all.

Damsel
Another teaser released by Netflix is for Damsel, a new fantasy adventure film starring Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Enola Holmes). She plays Princess Elodie, a dutiful damsel who agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive.

Dead Boy Detectives
Netflix trailer #3 is for Dead Boy Detectives, a new supernatural mystery series based on the DC Comics characters of the same name by Neil Gaiman, Matt Wagner, and Malcolm Jones III. Part of “The Sandman” universe, the eight-episode drama follows Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri, Fate: The Winx Saga) and Edwin Paine (George Rexstrew, Findhorn Case 31.08.18), friends and ghosts who decide not to enter the afterlife but stay on Earth and investigate paranormal crimes.

Killer Vacation
Hulu recently announced Killer Vacation, a new crime thriller series from Brazil that premiered in the US on November 8.
The eight-episode drama follows a group of sports club athletes and friends who, to celebrate the victory of the boys water polo team, decides to spend their last vacation together at Malu’s (Lara Tremouroux, Land of the Strong) parents’ house, located on a remote beach paradise. Far from their families and isolated from the world, it’s supposed to be the perfect trip. The vacation starts off well enough, with lots of partying, alcohol, and fun. But then the body of one of them is found lifeless in the sea and each of the remaining friends is a suspect — causing secrets to come to light and an entanglement of conflicts to test and corrode the friends’ relationships.
The cast also includes Filipe Bragança (Dom), Ronald Sotto (An Unforgettable Year: Spring), João Oliveira (Dom), Michel Joelsas (Kissing Game), Luana Nastas (Kissing Game), and Juliana Gerais (Selvagem).
Yu Yu Hakusho
Another recent date announcement from Netflix was for Yu Yu Hakusho, a live-action fantasy action-adventure series based on Yoshihiro Togashi’s legendary manga YuYu Hakusho.

The drama revolves around Yusuke Urameshi (Takumi Kitamura, Don’t Call it Mystery), a delinquent junior high school student who spends his days getting into fights — until he dies while saving a young child in a car accident. As he grapples with the fact that he’s looking down on his dead body, a woman named Botan (Kotone Furukawa, Pending Train), who calls herself a guide to the spirit world, relays to him the shocking truth: No one expected a delinquent like Yusuke to die performing an act of goodness, and there was no place for him in either heaven or hell. So, Yusuke is given the opportunity to be resurrected. After passing his trial, he becomes an Underworld Detective, getting entwined in a mystery that envelopes the human, demon, and spirit worlds.
