Netflix has set the global premiere date for the new Chilean action-crime drama series Baby Bandito. Check out the Spanish-language trailer.
Inspired by the robbery of the century that occurred in Chile in 2014, Baby Bandito revolves around Kevin (Nicolás Contreras, Una historia de amor imposible), a passionate and charismatic skater who falls in love with Génesis (Francisca Armstrong, La Ley de Baltazar), a privileged young woman. She’s out of his league, so to give her the life she deserves, Kevin bets everything for her love — by plotting a heist.
Kevin’s plan is to rob a dangerous gang called “the Butchers” of seven million dollars from the airport, a scheme in which he’s joined by Génesis as well as friends Pantera (Pablo Macaya, 42 Days of Darkness), Mística (Carmen Zabala, Hijos del Desierto), and Panda (Lukas Vergara, Nobody Knows I’m Here).
With the deed done, Kevin goes from skater boy to the most wanted fugitive in the country. Now his love story with Génesis becomes intertwined with the extreme dangers they and the whole crew face as they pursue a privileged life — culminating in a thrilling journey to Rome — while being pursued by the criminals they stole from.
Baby Bandito, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
