Netflix has set the global premiere for Damsel, a new fantasy action-adventure film starring Millie Bobby Brown.
In Damsel, Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Enola Holmes) stars as Elodie, a dutiful damsel who agrees to marry a handsome prince. Except Elodie’s story is not the kind of fairy tale where she and her Prince Charming live happily ever after.
Because the deal is this: Soon after agreeing to the marriage, Elodie finds out that the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt, and gets thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon. With only herself to rely on, Elodie must use her wits and her will to survive.
Damsel, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Friday, March 8, 2024, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The film costars Robin Wright (House of Cards), Angela Bassett (9-1-1), Nick Robinson (Love, Victor), Brooke Carter (The Peripheral), and Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast), as well as the voice talent of Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse).
Written and executive produced by Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) and directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Salvation), Damsel is produced by Joe Roth and Chris Castaldi and co-produced by Emily Wolfe, with Sue Baden-Powell as the Line Producer. The executive producers are Millie Bobby Brown, Robert Brown, and Zack Roth.
