Netflix has set the global premiere date for Let’s Talk About Chu, a new romantic dramedy series from Taiwan.
Let’s Talk About Chu, a new eight-episode romantic comedy-drama series, revolves around Chu Ai (Chan Tzu-hsuan, The Post-Truth World), a part-time vlogger who uses her channel to speak candidly about sex. However, in real life, she finds the subject is way trickier.
Chu Ai, the youngest daughter in her family, works as a wax therapist while running a sex education social media channel. Guided by the mantra “make love, not fall in love,” she navigates her anxieties through a friends-with-benefits relationship with Ping-ke (Kai Ko, Bad Education), who also shares her skepticism about love.
At the same time, Chu Ai’s older sister, Chu-wei (Kimi Hsia, American Girl), faces marital challenges with her husband, Shi-chieh (Umin Boya, 20:30:40), while her brother, Yu-sen (JC Lin, At the Moment), breaks up with his long-time boyfriend after being trapped in an unbalanced relationship.
Against the backdrop of a strained relationship between their parents (played by Miao Ke-li (A Thousand Goodnights) and Hong Sheng-te), the series delves into whether Chu-ai can find a path to self-discovery and satisfy her desires while establishing a meaningful relationship.
Let’s Talk About Chu, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Friday, February 2, 2024, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
