Prime Video confirmed today the source material for the upcoming third season of the hit action-crime drama series Reacher.
Based on the novels by Lee Child, Reacher stars Alan Ritchson (Titans, Fast X) as Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator whose drifter lifestyle puts him in situations where he encounters and does battle with dangerous criminals.
Season 3 of Reacher will be based on the novel Persuader, the seventh book in Child’s “Jack Reacher” series. The upcoming new season, currently filming in Toronto, finds Reacher having to go undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past.
In addition to Ritchson, Maria Sten (Swamp Thing) is returning for Reacher: Season 3, reprising her role of corporate security professional Frances Neagley.
A production of Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and Paramount Television Studios, Reacher is executive produced by Lee Child and written for television by Emmy® nominee Nick Santora (FUBAR, Prison Break), who also executive produces and serves as showrunner. Ritchson will serve as an executive producer of Season 3, along with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, and David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid are the executives-in-charge of the series for Skydance Television.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Reacher are currently available for streaming globally on Prime Video.
