Based on Catch Me a Killer, the nonfiction book by Micki Pistorius, the new biopic / true-crime drama series Catch Me a Killer stars Charlotte Hope (The Spanish Princess, The English Game, Game of Thrones) as Micki Pistorius, a journalist-turned-psychologist who became South Africa’s first serial killer profiler. The series tells her true story.

In 1994, against the backdrop of a country getting used to democracy, Micki joins a police task force that is on the hunt for a notorious serial killer known as the Station Strangler — a multiple murderer who has left a trail of 22 dead boys in his wake. While finding her feet in a male-dominated arena, Micki battles with her status as an outsider in the police force and in the community she serves, dealing with the looming specter of her personal life and confronting increasing darkness in her quest to trap and understand some of South Africa’s most infamous serial killers.

Catch Me a Killer premieres in North America as an eleven-episode binge on Monday, March 4, exclusively on BritBox.

Costarring Donna Cormack-Thomson (The Devil Speaks) and Steven John Ward (One Piece), the series is written by Amy Jephta (Devil’s Peak), Oliver Frampton (The Bill), Jessica Ruston (Young Wallander), and Sarah Hooper (Emmerdale Farm). It is directed by Tracey Larcombe (Silent Witness), Rene van Rooyen (Inconceivable), and Brett Michael Innes (Eventide).
