American Horror Story: Delicate, Part 2 (Season 12) (US)
Based on the novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine, the twelfth installment of this anthology horror series returns from a nearly six-month hiatus (due to the writers’ strike) with its final four episodes. The story follows Anna Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts, Scream Queens), a young actress whose attempts to conceive a child using IVF haven’t been successful. As the buzz around her recent film grows, she fears that something may be targeting her — and her pursuit of motherhood.

Set a year after Molly Wells (Emmy® Award winner Maya Rudolph, Bridesmaids, Saturday Night Live) settles her very public divorce from tech billionaire John Novak (Adam Scott, Parks and Recreation), the new season of this comedy series finds Molly thriving in her role as the head of her philanthropic organization, the Wells Foundation. Focused mainly on her charity work, Molly has sworn off any new relationships with men. Fabulously single but not particularly independent, Molly keeps by her side her trusty assistant Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster, Curb Your Enthusiasm), who diligently caters to her every whim… and occasionally feeds her a kale smoothie spiked with gin.
Sofia Salinas (Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Pose), the no-nonsense executive director of the Wells Foundation, continues to run things with compassionate efficiency, but her all-business ethos is thrown for a loop when she meets Molly’s charismatic architect friend, Isaac (O-T Fagbenle, The Handmaid’s Tale). The bromance between Howard (Ron Funches, Harley Quinn) and Nicholas also continues to flourish as they support each other in their endeavors both inside and outside the workplace.
Meanwhile, Arthur (Nat Faxon, Our Flag Means Death) has moved past his feelings for Molly and adopted a new devil-may-care attitude on life, a change encapsulated by a very lame leather bracelet. The Wells Foundation team, including Rhonda (Meagen Fay, Grey’s Anatomy) and Ainsley (Stephanie Styles, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), must pull together as co-workers and friends as Molly strives to publicly live up to her promise of giving away all of her vast fortune.

UFO Factory (Mexico)
This comedy series follows Fernando (Jerónimo Best, Sense8), a native of Argentina, who arrives in Salgueiro, an almost abandoned town in the heart of Galicia, Spain, looking for his grandfather’s birth certificate, which he needs to apply for Spanish citizenship. While there, the locals try to convince him to stay and be the town’s leader, a role that Fernando’s grandfather successfully held until he fled to Argentina for no apparent reason. Fernando believes the town could tap into UFO tourism to revive its fortunes, so the entire community is at the command of its new leader, awaiting the arrival of aliens…

Zero to Hero (Brazil)
In this romantic comedy, when a rock wannabe is forced to replace his famous sertanejo look-alike, he faces a life-changing choice: lose his own identity or follow his heart. Divided Youth (Brazil)
Set in the city of São Paulo, this drama series deals with the social and cultural differences between young people from the outskirts and those from the centers of large cities. The story follows a girl from the outskirts, who infiltrates the most exclusive school in São Paulo’s high society in search of the answer to a single answer: Who killed her best friend?
Starring João Guilherme (Back to 15), Gabz (An Unforgettable Year: Autumn), and Augusto Madeira (Glória), Divided Youth, a Max Original International, premieres in the US on Thursday, April 4, exclusively on Max and its digital channels, including Max on Prime Channels.
Elsbeth (US)
One of my favorite new shows after just one episode is this delightful crime comedy-drama, which returns after a five-week hiatus following its launch. The series stars Emmy® Award winner Carrie Preston, who reprises her The Good Wife and The Good Fight role as Elsbeth Tascioni, a quirky attorney who leaves her successful legal career in Chicago for an observer/investigator role in New York City — an assignment from the U.S. Department of Justice, no less. In the Big Apple, she uses her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD, including Captain C.W. Wagner (Wendell Pierce, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan) and Officer Kaya Blanke (Carra Patterson, Servant).
After that bombshell revelation at the end of the pilot episode, the show returns in April with two back-to-back episodes. (Yay!) In Episode 2, “A Classic New York Character,” the co-op board president (guest star Linda Lavin, Alice) of a luxury pre-war building falls off her balcony to her death. Elsbeth and Kaya are called to the scene to dig for a lead when they meet Joann (guest star Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock), a high-powered Manhattan real estate broker with huge clients and even bigger secrets.
In “Reality Shock,” a larger-than-life reality TV star is found dead in her bathtub, so Elsbeth and Kaya investigate the circumstances around her death to determine if it was an accident or murder. As they get deeper into the events surrounding her demise, they meet Skip Mason (guest star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Modern Family), the mercurial producer behind the popular, guilty-pleasure reality series Lavish Ladies, who becomes the prime suspect after he is accused of going to dangerous lengths to concoct “good TV.”
Elsbeth returns Thursday, April 4, with “A Classic New York Character” premiering at 9PM ET/PT, followed by “Reality Shock” at 10PM ET/PT — both on CBS, with live and on-demand streaming for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers, and on-demand streaming for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episodes air.

This thriller stars Christina Cooper (Dear White People, Never Heard) as Niecy Fields, a social media influencer on the cusp of stardom. However, she quickly learns the spotlight can also casts shadows of danger, as she is thrown into a fight for her life.

Star Trek: Discovery: Season 5 (US)
In the fifth and final season of this sci-fi action drama, Captain Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green, The Walking Dead) and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncover a mystery that sends them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. Parasyte: The Grey (South Korea)
Inspired by the manga Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki, this sci-fi thriller series sees unidentified parasites violently take over human hosts and gain power, forcing humanity to rise up to combat the growing threat. At the center of the story is Su-in (Jeon So-nee, When My Love Blooms), who grapples with her newfound coexistence with a parasite. The series also tracks the efforts of “Team Grey,” the anti-parasite task force led by Jun-kyung (Lee Jung-hyun, Limit), and Kang-woo (Koo Kyo-hwan, D.P.), a man driven to fight parasites in his quest to find his missing sister.

Based on true paranormal events, this horror film follows what happens after a bloodthirsty spirit possesses a young girl in a remote village, prompting her older brother to lead the charge to banish it before she’s consumed by evil.

The Hijacking of Flight 601 (Colombia)
This historical thriller limited series is inspired by the real-life hijacking of a Colombian airliner on May 30, 1973, the longest aerial hijacking in Latin American history. Two armed revolutionaries hijack and threaten to blow up Flight 601 unless the Colombian government releases 50 political prisoners and pays them a hefty ransom in cash. When the political leaders refuse to negotiate, the aggressors start shooting one passenger per hour and force the plane to fly across Latin America. Meanwhile, the captain and two courageous flight attendants try to outwit the hijackers while negotiating with their local officials. Amid the imminent horror, the crew must fight back to bring the hostages back home safely.

Fallout (US)
Based on the “Fallout” video game series, this action drama, set 200 years after the apocalypse, sees the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters being forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe. One amongst them is Lucy (Ella Purnell, Yellowjackets), an optimistic Vault-dweller with an all-American, can-do spirit, whose peaceful and idealistic nature is tested when she is forced to the surface to rescue her father.

Franklin (US)
Based on Pulitzer Prize winner Stacy Schiff’s book, A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America, this biopic-historical drama limited series, starring Academy®, Emmy®, and AFI Lifetime Achievement Award winner Michael Douglas (Wall Street, Fatal Attraction) as Benjamin Franklin, explores the story of the greatest gamble of Franklin’s career. The Upshaws: Part 5 (US)
This comedy series follows the Upshaws, a working-class African American family in Indiana. The Spiderwick Chronicles (US)
Adapted from The Spiderwick Chronicles, the globally-acclaimed, best-selling book series of by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, this fantasy adventure series follows the coming-of-age story of the Grace Family, as they move from New York to Michigan and into their family’s ancestral home. Upon arrival, the family uncovers mysteries hidden inside their great grandfather’s Spiderwick Estate, and discovers a secret, fantastical world around them.

Dead Boy Detectives (US)
This new supernatural mystery series is based on the DC Comics characters of the same name by Neil Gaiman, Matt Wagner, and Malcolm Jones III. Part of “The Sandman” universe, it follows Edwin Paine (George Rexstrew, Findhorn Case 31.08.18) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri, Fate: The Winx Saga), the respective brains and brawn behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency.
Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts who solve paranormal mysteries, from pesky ghosts to demon thieves. They will do anything to stick together, including escaping evil witches, Hell, and Death herself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal (Kassius Nelson, White Lines) and her friend, Niko (Yuyu Kitamura, Expats), they are able to crack some of the mortal realm’s most mystifying paranormal cases.

Knuckles (US-Japan)
The latest in the Cinematic World of Sonic the Hedgehog is this new live-action event series, which follows Knuckles (voiced by Idris Elba, Thor, Luther) on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self- discovery, as he agrees to train Wade Whipple (Adam Pally, Sonic the Hedgehog) as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. The series takes place between the films Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

It expands the world of Treasure Island by giving it a rich history through the backstories of characters like John Silver (Luke Arnold, Glitch), Billy Bones (Tom Hopper, The Umbrella Academy), Ben Gunn (Chris Fisher, Raised by Wolves), and Captain Flint (Toby Stephens, Lost in Space) — who doesn’t even appear in but is much talked about in the book.
