Paramount+ has set the premiere date for the new season of Criminal Minds: Evolution.
Fans of the original Criminal Minds series will be happy to know that the revived series, Criminal Minds: Evolution, is returning with a new ten-episode season.
The series stars Joe Mantegna (Searching for Bobby Fischer), A.J. Cook (Higher Ground), Kirsten Vangsness (Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior), Aisha Tyler (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), and Ryan-James Hatanaka (When Hope Calls), with Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami) and Paget Brewster (Community). Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives) will be guest starring.
Following on from last season’s shocking finale, the new season picks up as the FBI’s elite team of profilers investigates the deadly mystery of GOLD STAR. As the conspiracy unfolds, the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) is met with an unexpected complication when serial killer Elias Voit (Zach Gilford, Midnight Mass) negotiates a deal that transfers him to federal custody in the BAU’s own backyard. The team faces its biggest threat yet and cannot emerge unscathed from the mind-bending consequences.
Criminal Minds: Evolution: Season 2 (Criminal Minds: Season 17) premieres in the US with the first two episodes on Thursday, June 6, exclusively on Paramount+, with new episodes dropping weekly on Thursdays through August 1.
