Netflix has set the global premiere date for its new Argentine comedy series, Envious.
Envious stars Griselda Siciliani (Rest in Peace, Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths) as Vicky, who’s been envious and suffering in silence every time one of her friends get married before she does.
Fed up and on the verge of turning 40, she gives an ultimatum to her lifelong boyfriend: either they get married, or she leaves him. Well, things don’t turn out the way she expected.
Now, Vicky is forced to rebuild her life while looking for a new man to fulfill her dream of getting married — all without realizing that, on this journey, more than finding a man, she will find herself.
Envious, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Wednesday, September 18, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The cast includes Esteban Lamothe (El marginal), Benjamín Vicuña (Locked Up), Pilar Gamboa (Community Squad), and Violeta Urtizberea (The End of Love). Also featuring in Envious are Marina Bellati (Maradona: Blessed Dream), Bárbara Lombardo (Manuela), Martín Garabal (Community Squad), Lorena Vega (The End of Love), Susana Pampin (Elena Knows), Leonora Balcarce (The End of Love), and Adrián Lakerman.
Written by Carolina Aguirre (Argentina, tierra de amor y venganza) and directed by Gabriel Medina (The Vampire Spider), the series is produced by Adrián Suar (Soy Luna) and executive produced by Diego Andrasnik (The Bronze Garden).
