Based on Long Bright River, Liz Moore’s New York Times best-selling novel, the suspense thriller Long Bright River stars Emmy Award®-winning and Academy Award®-nominated actress Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout, Mank) as Mickey, a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighborhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis. When a series of murders begins in the neighborhood, Mickey realizes that her personal history might be related to the case.
Long Bright River, a Peacock Original, premieres in the US as an eight-episode binge on Thursday, March 13, exclusively on Peacock.
In addition to Seyfried, series regulars include Nicholas Pinnock (For Life), Ashleigh Cummings (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries), Callum Vinson (Chucky), and John Doman (The Wire). Recurring guest stars include Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan), Britne Oldford (Dead Ringers), Matthew Del Negro (City on a Hill), Harriet Sansom Harris (The Agency), Patch Darragh (Succession), and Perry Mattfeld (In the Dark).
A production of Sony Pictures Television and UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, the hour-long series is written and executive produced by showrunner Nikki Toscano (The Offer, Hunters), who also directs (episode 106), and Liz Moore (Long Bright River). The executive producers are Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, and Amanda Lewis for Original Film; Amy Pascal for Pascal Pictures; Russell Rothberg; and Hagar Ben-Asher (Bad Boy, Dead Women Walking), who also directs (episodes 101 and 105).
