Netflix has announced that Robert De Niro will star in The Whisper Man, a new crime thriller film from AGBO.
Based on The Whisper Man, the New York Times best-selling novel by Alex North, the film The Whisper Man finds a widowed crime writer looking to his estranged father, a retired former police detective, for help after his eight-year-old son is abducted — only to discover a connection with the decades-old case of a convicted serial killer known as “The Whisper Man.”
The film will be directed by James Ashcroft (The Rule of Jenny Pen, Coming Home in the Dark), and written by Ben Jacoby (The First Omen) and Chase Palmer (It).
The producers are Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Michael Disco for AGBO, with executive producers Kassee Whiting (for AGBO) and Marcus Viscidi.
Production on The Whisper Man is set to start this spring on the East Coast.
