MGM+ has set the premiere date for Season 4 of the hit gangster drama Godfather of Harlem, starring Academy® Award winner Forest Whitaker.
Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland, Black Panther) will soon be back as real-life mob boss Ellsworth “Bumpy” Johnson, the titular “Godfather of Harlem,” when the fourth season of the award-winning gangster crime drama, Godfather of Harlem, debuts next month.
Joining Whitaker are Ilfenesh Hadera (Billions) as Mayme, Bumpy’s wife; Antoinette Crowe-Legacy (WeCrashed) as Elise, Bumpy’s daughter; Lucy Fry (Wolf Creek) as Stella Gigante, the daughter of Bumpy’s main rival, Genovese family crime boss Vincent “The Chin” Gigante (Vincent D’Onofrio); Erik LaRay Harvey (Chicago P.D.) as Del Chance, a trusted Bumpy enforcer; Michael Raymond James (Once Upon a Time) as Joe Colombo, boss of the Colombo crime family; and Elvis Nolasco (American Crime) as Nat Pettigrew, Bumpy’s best friend.
Joining the Season 4 cast are Erik Palladino (NCIS: Los Angeles) as Giuseppe “Pino” Greco, a hitman in the Sicilian mafia, and Rome Flynn (How to Get Away with Murder) as drug lord Frank Lucas.
In Season 4, Bumpy Johnson continues his bloody war for control of Harlem against New York’s Mafia families, while contending with the arrival of gangster Frank Lucas. After the tragic assassination of Malcolm X (Jason Alan Carvell), Bumpy must also grapple with his daughter Elise’s involvement with the Black Panthers.
Godfather of Harlem: Season 4 premieres in the US on Sunday, April 13, on the MGM+ linear and streaming service.
A production of 20th Television, the series is created by Chris Brancato (Narcos, Hotel Cocaine) and Paul Eckstein (Narcos). The executive producers are Chris Brancato, Paul Eckstein, Forest Whitaker, Nina Yang Bongiovi, James Acheson, Markuann Smith, Ray Quinlan, Michael Panes, and Stephen Schiff, with Swizz Beatz serving as executive music producer.
