Prime Video has announced the premiere date for The Better Sister, a new mystery series starring Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks.

Based on the eponymous book by best-selling author Alafair Burke, the upcoming mystery-crime thriller series, The Better Sister, is about the terrible things that drive sisters apart and ultimately bring them back together. It stars Primetime Emmy® nominees Jessica Biel (The Sinner, Candy) and Elizabeth Banks (Modern Family, Mrs. America) in the lead roles.
High-profile media executive Chloe (Jessica Biel) lives a picturesque life with her handsome lawyer husband, Adam (Corey Stoll, Billions), and teenage son, Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan, That ’90s Show), by her side. Meanwhile, her estranged sister, Nicky (Elizabeth Banks), struggles to make ends meet and stay clean.
When Adam is brutally murdered, the prime suspect sends shock waves through the family, reuniting the two sisters as they try to untangle a complicated family history to discover the truth behind his death.
The Better Sister premieres globally as an eight-episode binge on Thursday, May 29, exclusively on Prime Video.
Costars include Kim Dickens (Fear the Walking Dead), Bobby Naderi (The Beekeeper), Gabriel Sloyer (Griselda), and Gloria Reuben (Mr. Robot), with Matthew Modine (Zero Day) and Lorraine Toussaint (The Equalizer).
A production of Amazon MGM Studios and Tomorrow Studios (part of ITV Studios), the series is executive produced and showrun by Olivia Milch (Ocean’s 8) and Regina Corrado (Mayor of Kingstown). Series director Craig Gillespie (Pam & Tommy) and Annie Marter are executive producers through Fortunate Jack Productions alongside executive producers Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Alissa Bachner through Tomorrow Studios, Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks, Michelle Purple, and Kerry Orent.
