Netflix has set the global premiere date for Goyo, a new drama feature from Argentina.
Set in Buenos Aires, Goyo stars Nicolás Furtado (Bandidos, El marginal, Maradona: Blessed Dream) as Goyo, a man on the autism spectrum and a fan of Van Gogh’s work. Part of his orderly routine is his work as a guide at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. But then he meets and develops a crush on Eva (Nancy Dupláa, The Kingdom, Supernova), a new security guard at the museum, and his routine is upended.
Eva, though, has become disillusioned with love, owing to issues in her marriage — to the extent that she even loses faith in herself sometimes. However, the unexpected meeting between her and Goyo will let both of them discover a new way to love and to be loved.
Goyo, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Friday, July 5, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The cast includes Soledad Villamil (Now and Then), Pablo Rago (The Heist of the Century), Cecilia Roth (The Pier), Diego Alonso (Maradona: Blessed Dream), and Milo Lis.
Directed and showrun by Marcos Carnevale (All Hail), the film is executive produced by Martín Kweller, Hernán Kweller, Ignacio Rey, and Rocio Gort.
