Prime Video has announced the global premiere date for its Japanese Original psychopathic suspense-romance film, Previously Saved Version.
Set in the year 2200 A.D., Previously Saved Version unfolds in a future where human migration to space and advanced technology enable memory manipulation. It stars Hideaki Ito (Tokyo Vice) and Yuko Araki (Once Upon a Crime) in the lead roles.
At first glance, Naoki (Ito) and Mayumi (Araki) seem to be the perfect husband and wife. Living in a luxury floating residence in space, artist Mayumi engages in her ceramics, scientist Naoki is devoted to his research, and together they enjoy elegant music, cooking, and supping in their dining room.
However, their true nature is the distorted love of Naoki. Mayumi used to love him back in the days when he used to love her. Now, though, he repeatedly turns her into an android to control her and to create his ideal wife and life.
Previously Saved Version premieres globally on September 26, exclusively on Prime Video.
