This new animated series follows Marshall (voiced by Dave King, Parks and Recreation) and Frances (Emily Pendergast, Veep), former high school friends who reconnect and discover a new kind of drug that can cure all illnesses. They also uncover a conspiracy by big pharma and the government to suppress knowledge of the rare fungus from which the drug is derived.

Bogotá: City of the Lost (South Korea)
This crime thriller centers on Guk-hee (Song Joong-ki, Vincenzo), a 19-year-old young man who moves to Bogotá with his family in the hope of a better life, only to end up living hand to mouth. Burden of Guilt (US)
Based on the hit podcast Burden of Guilt, this three-part docuseries follows a woman’s quest to solve the mystery of what or who really killed her four-month-old baby brother. It traces Tracyraquel Berns’s emotional journey to unravel the convoluted excuses that were given about the sudden death of her brother, Matthew, when she was just two years old. Initially ruled an accident, the mystery of how Matthew died haunts Tracyraquel throughout her childhood. Wicked Game: Devil in the Desert (US)
Set during the early days of medical marijuana, this three-part docuseries is about an investigation that was launched after a sheriff’s deputy found a woman, zip-tied and frantic, on the side of the road in the Mojave Desert in 2012. Authorities discovered this may have been a grisly crime in pursuit of a suspected buried treasure. The years-long investigation spanned sting operations, an international search, a prison break captured on cellphone, and a courtroom showdown between lead prosecutor Matt Murphy and the man authorities believed was pulling the strings in a twisted game of greed and violence: former marine and drug dealer Hossein Nayeri.

Envious: Season 2 (Argentina)
Following on from the events in Season 1, the second season of this comedy series finds Vicky (Griselda Siciliani, Rest in Peace, Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths) torn between two possible paths: marrying and building a family project with Dani (Martín Garabal, Community Squad), or allowing herself to explore a relationship with Matías (Esteban Lamothe, El marginal).
At times, that country club life she once dreamed of no longer seems so appealing, but the desire sparked by the possibility of a new love terrifies her. More neurotic and frazzled than ever, Vicky begins to go back and forth between both worlds, unwilling to let go of either. Desperate, she will have to make a decision and face the consequences.

Amy Schumer (Inside Amy Schumer) stars in this comedy as Lainy, a New Yorker who becomes quite jealous when she learns of her best friend’s pregnancy. This prompts her to start wearing a prosthetic baby bump. Then, wouldn’t you know it, she accidentally meets the man of her dreams.

Prison Cell 211 (Mexico)
Inspired by a true story, this drama thriller series is based on the Spanish novel Celda 211 by Francisco Pérez Gandul, which was adapted into the multi-award-winning 2009 film Cell 211 starring Luis Tosar. The series moves the setting from Spain to Mexico and changes the protagonist from a prison guard to a human rights lawyer, played by Diego Calva (Midnight Family, The Secret of the River, Narcos: Mexico).
What begins as an uneventful, routine day for the lawyer turns into an utter nightmare when a riot erupts inside the border-town prison where he’s seeing a client. Now trapped inside the prison, he must pose as an inmate, get actual inmates to believe that he’s one of them, and navigate his way through the violence and intrigue in order to survive.

Broken Rage (Japan)
The first half of this two-part film, written, directed, and starring Takeshi Kitano (Ghost in the Shell, Takeshi’s Castle), is a hard-boiled action-crime story where Nezumi (Kitano), a hitman caught between the police and the yakuza, struggles to survive. The second half tells the same story, but in a comedic, self-parodying style.
