Netflix has set the global premiere date for Caught, a new Argentine crime thriller series based on the eponymous novel by Harlan Coben.

Set in Argentinian Patagonia’s city of Bariloche, Caught follows journalist Ema Garay (Soledad Villamil, A Twelve-Year Night, So Much Love to Give, Goyo), who rises to prominence in digital media by exposing criminals who manage to evade the law. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Leo Mercer (Juan Minujín, El Marginal, I Don’t Expect Anyone to Believe Me, The Substitute), a respected community figure who becomes the prime suspect in her investigation into the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl. As Ema searches for the truth, she finds herself forced to confront her own demons.
Based on Caught, the New York Times best-selling novel by Harlan Coben, Caught, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Wednesday, March 26, exclusively on Netflix.
The cast of the six-episode limited series includes Alberto Ammann (Narcos: Mexico), Matías Recalt (Society of the Snow), Fernán Mirás (Maradona: Blessed Dream), and Carmela Rivero.
Caught is another of Harlan Coben‘s many book-to-screen adaptations as part of his ongoing creative partnership with Netflix. He continues his work with local screenwriters from around the world to bring his novels to life on screen. So far, they’ve been produced in four languages, including the British series Fool Me Once, Missing You, Safe, Stay Close, and The Stranger; French series Gone for Good; Polish series Hold Tight and The Woods; and Spanish series The Innocent. Caught marks the first adaptation produced in South America.
Currently in the works are adaptations of Coben’s novels Just One Look (Poland), I Will Find You (US), and Run Away (UK).
