Paramount+ has released the official teaser for Special Ops: Lioness, a new espionage thriller series starring and executive produced by Zoe Saldaña.
From Oscar® nominee Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water, Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown) comes espionage thriller Special Ops: Lioness, which features a star-studded cast that includes executive producer Zoe Saldaña (“Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise), Laysla De Oliveira (Locke & Key), and Emmy® nominee Michael Kelly (House of Cards), along with Academy Award® winners Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby) and executive producer Nicole Kidman (The Hours).
Inspired by an actual US Military program, Special Ops: Lioness follows the life of Joe (Saldaña) while she attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA’s spear in the war on terror. The Lioness Program, overseen by Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman) and Donald Westfield (Kelly), enlists an aggressive Marine Raider named Cruz (De Oliveira) to operate undercover alongside Joe among the power brokers of State terrorism in the CIA’s efforts to thwart the next 9/11.
Series regulars include Dave Annable (Walker), Jill Wagner (Mystery 101), LaMonica Garrett (1883), James Jordan (Yellowstone), Austin Hébert (Ray Donovan), Jonah Wharton (The Rookie), Stephanie Nur (1883), and Hannah Love Lanier (Road House).
Special Ops: Lioness premieres in the US and all Paramount+ international markets with two episodes on Sunday, July 23, exclusively on Paramount+. One new episode will debut each Sunday through September 3.
