MHz Choice has announced that Israeli crime comedy series Queens will premiere in the US and Canada as part of the streaming service’s autumn lineup.
A 2018 Best Comedy Series award nominee by the Israeli Television Academy, Queens follows the women of the Malka family, who must fight for their rightful place in a hyper-masculine world after all the men of the Malka family — one of Israel’s most prominent crime families — are assassinated on the family yacht. Left to pick up the pieces, the women must work to resurrect the family business that was taken from them, and avenge the deaths of their loved ones.
The series stars singer/actress Rita (A Thousand and One Wives), Dana Ivgy (Autonomies), Mali Levi (The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem), and Lihi Kornowski (False Flag).
Queens premieres in the US and Canada on Tuesday, September 19, exclusively on MHz Choice and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Amazon.
