Hulu has set the US premiere date for the Korean fantasy drama series The Golden Spoon.
The Golden Spoon follows Lee Seung-cheon (Yook Sung-jae, Mystic Pop-up Bar), a student from a poor family who is the only “dirt spoon” at Jaeil High School in Seoul, where all of the other students are “golden spoons,” kids from wealthy families.
One day Seung-cheon happens to meet a mysterious old woman and learns how he can become rich. By following her instructions, Seung-cheon is swapped with Hwang Tae-yong (Lee Jong-Won, Hospital Playlist), the son of the president of Doshin Group, the richest man in Korea. With Seung-cheon becoming Tae-yong, and Tae-yong becoming Seung-cheon, Seung-cheon finally gets to live the life of a golden spoon that he has always dreamed of — but life as the son of a rich family proves to be difficult.
When Seung-cheon hears that his father, Cheol, has been injured and that his life is in danger, the guilt of swapping out his parents, combined with his deep affection for his father, leads Seung-cheon to visit the old woman again…
The Golden Spoon, a Hulu Original Series, premieres in the US on Friday, July 21, exclusively on Hulu. (You can add it to your watchlist now.)
