BAFTA TV Awards winner Sarah Lancashire (Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax, The Paradise) returns as the inimitable TV cooking sensation Julia Child when drama series Julia returns for a second season.

In Season 2, Julia grapples with her rising celebrity and what that means for her, her colleagues, and her trailblazing cooking show.

Upon returning from Simca’s (Isabella Rossellini) home in France, Julia and her devoted husband, Paul (David Hyde Pierce, Frasier, The Good Wife), find that her success has changed everything. Through her singular joie de vivre, she and her team must navigate WGBH, the White House, and a threat from their past, all while continuing to spearhead female-driven public television and confront social issues that are still prevalent today.

Julia: Season 2, a Max Original Series, premieres in the US with three episodes on Thursday, November 16, exclusively on Max. New episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays through December 21.

Also returning in Season 2 are series regulars Bebe Neuwirth (Cheers), Brittany Bradford (Fire Country), Fran Kranz (Major Crimes), Fiona Glascott (Brooklyn), and Robert Joy (CSI: NY).

Produced by Lionsgate and 3 Arts Entertainment, Julia is showrun by Chris Keyser, who executive produces alongside series creator Daniel Goldfarb. Erwin Stoff of 3 Arts Entertainment, Kimberly Carver, Charles McDougall, Donna Bloom, and Erica Lipez also executive produce. Todd Schulkin is a consulting producer on behalf of The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.
