Peacock released today the trailer for Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie, starring Tony Shalhoub as the longtime fan-favorite crime-solver Adrian Monk.
One of the absolute best mystery-crime comedy-drama series ever is Monk, which ran for eight seasons and won eight Primetime Emmy® Awards, including three for series star Tony Shalhoub, who played germaphobic police consultant Adrian Monk (long before the likes of Professor T). After a rather lengthy absence from our screens, Monk is coming back!
Said creator-writer-executive producer Andy Breckman, executive producer David Hoberman, and director-executive producer Randy Zisk:
“It’s been nearly fourteen years since the world has seen a fresh installment of MONK. The world has changed mightily in those intervening years and MONK 2023 reflects the changing world.

In the movie, Monk (Shalhoub) comes out of retirement to solve one last, very personal case involving his beloved stepdaughter, Molly (Caitlin McGee, Home Economics), a journalist preparing for her wedding.
Returning cast members in the movie include Ted Levine as Leland Stottlemeyer, Traylor Howard as Natalie Teeger, Jason Gray-Stanford as Randy Disher, Melora Hardin as Trudy Monk, and Hector Elizondo as Dr. Neven Bell.
Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie, premieres Friday, December 8, exclusively on Peacock.
