Based on the novel 24 Hours with Gaspar by Indonesian author Sabda Armandio, and set in Indonesia in the near distant future, the dystopian action-crime feature 24 Hours with Gaspar stars Reza Rahadian (Innocent Vengeance) as Gaspar, a detective who has just 24 hours to live — and plans to make good use of them by robbing a jewelry store with five other people.

Meanwhile, Gaspar learns a few things related to the mysterious disappearance of his childhood friend, Kirana, which points him in the direction of Wan Ali (Landung Simatupang, Cigarette Girl), a criminal involved in a human trafficking syndicate.

24 Hours with Gaspar has its global streaming premiere on Thursday, March 14, exclusively on Netflix.

Directed by multi-award winner Yosep Anggi Noen (Solo, Solitude), the film costars Laura Basuki (Sleep Call), Shenina Cinnamon (Blood Curse), Sal Priadi (Vengeance Is Mine, All Others Pay Cash), Dewi Irawan (Virgin Mom), and Kristo Immanuel (Star Syndrome).

Said Reza Rahadian:

“Portraying Gaspar has been thrilling and it is one of the most unique roles I’ve ever played, providing ample room for exploration. After introducing the film in several countries, I eagerly anticipate sharing this story with a broader audience worldwide through Netflix.”

24 Hours with Gaspar premiered globally at the 28th Busan International Film Festival, and received nine nominations at the 2023 Indonesian Film Festival, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress (Dewi Irawan), and Best Adapted Screenplay (M. Irfan Ramli), the latter of which won the Piala Citra trophy. The film also screened at the Singapore International Film Festival and the Red Sea Film Festival.

A production of Visinema Pictures and KawanKawan Media, the film is executive produced by Angga Dwimas Sasongko (Letter from Prague, One Day We’ll Talk About Today) and Lisbeth Simarmata (Indigo), with Yulia Evina Bhara (Tiger Stripes) and Cristian Imanuell (Stealing Raden Saleh) producing.
