The Rope Curse 3

Deeply rooted in Taiwanese folk culture, exorcism horror film The Rope Curse 3 continues the story of The Rope Curse 2 (currently streaming on Netflix US). Guan Yu (Chang Ting-hu, Secrets in the Hot Spring), a gifted young man from a family of exorcists who aspires to become a parkour influencer, gets caught up in a series of spooky events at an eerie hotel.

Hello Ghost

A remake of the 2010 Korean film of the same name, fantasy comedy-drama Hello Ghost follows the story of a lonely and depressed young man (Tseng Jing-hua, At the Moment, Your Name Engraved Herein), whose suicide attempt is unsuccessful. After reviving, he is visited by four ghosts who want him to help them fulfill their final wishes — and won’t leave him alone until he does.

Costarring Ivy Shao (More than Blue: The Series), Hello Ghost premieres globally (outside Korea) on Monday, December 18, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)

(Fyi, the Indonesian remake of Hello Ghost is currently streaming on Netflix.)

Miss Shampoo

When a local gangster ducks into a hair salon to escape a rival gang that’s chasing him, a young salon apprentice save his life. So he returns the favor by sending his fellow gang members to her to have their hair done. Except he also puts her in danger when they try to find a traitor.

Written and directed by Giddens Ko (Bad Education, Till We Meet Again), Miss Shampoo, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Thursday, December 28, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)

The Abandoned

The Abandoned is a mystery-crime thriller that explores a series of heinous crimes through the psychological state and emotional struggles of the protagonists. It follows Wu Jie (Janine Chang, Black & White, The Hospital), a troubled police officer whose intention to commit suicide is thwarted when the corpse of a young woman washes ashore. This sets Wu Jie on the path to unraveling layers of mystery and grisly murders. Meanwhile, Lin You-sheng (Ethan Juan, You’re My Destiny, The Assassin) is in trouble, due to his connection with a female body found in a factory, and soon finds himself the prime suspect in a string of serial killings.

Garnering six Golden Horse Award nominations, including Best New Director (Tseng Ying-ting, Yong-Jiu Grocery Store), Best Art Direction, and Best Action Design, The Abandoned, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Sunday, December 31, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
