HBO has released the official teaser for Season 2 of the hit fantasy and Game of Thrones spinoff series House of the Dragon. Check it out.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling novel Fire & Blood, Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, an HBO Original, returns to our screens in summer 2024 (date tba). Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series tells the story of House Targaryen.
Returning for the eight-episode second season are Matt Smith (Doctor Who), Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel), Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers), Eve Best (Lucky Man), Steve Toussaint (It’s a Sin), Fabien Frankel (The Serpent), Ewan Mitchell (The Last Kingdom), Tom Glynn-Carney (Domina), Sonoya Mizuno (Devs), and Rhys Ifans (Berlin Station). Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett (Dunkirk), Bethany Antonia (Stay Close), Phoebe Campbell (Midsomer Murders), Phia Saban (The Last Kingdom), Jefferson Hall (Oppenheimer), and Matthew Needham (Sanditon).
Joining the cast are Abubakar Salim (Raised by Wolves) as Alyn of Hull; Gayle Rankin (Perry Mason) as Alys Rivers; Freddie Fox (Slow Horses) as Ser Gwayne Hightower; and Simon Russell Beale (Operation Mincemeat) as Ser Simon Strong. Additional new cast members include Clinton Liberty (Normal People) as Addam of Hull; Jamie Kenna (The Crown) as Ser Alfred Broome; Kieran Bew (Warrior) as Hugh; Tom Bennett (After Life) as Ulf; Tom Taylor (Doctor Foster) as Lord Cregan Stark; and Vincent Regan (One Piece) as Ser Rickard Thorne.
Season 2 of House of the Dragon is co-created and executive produced by George R.R. Martin and showrunner Ryan Condal. Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, and Vince Gerardis also serve as executive producers.
