Things look quite ominous in the teaser for The Bequeathed.

Written by Yeon Sang-ho (Train to Busan, Jung_E), the six-episode series stars Kim Hyun-joo (Hellbound, Watcher) as Yoon Seo-ha, a woman who learns that her recently deceased uncle had bequeathed to her the family burial ground. At her uncle’s funeral, Seo-ha is accosted by a strange man, Kim Young-Ho (Ryu Kyung-Soo, Tale of the Nine Tailed, Itaewon Class), who claims to be her half-brother and demands his share of the inheritance.

Meanwhile, police detective Choi Seong-Joon (Park Hee-Soon, Moving, A Model Family) and his young colleague, Park Sang-min (Park Byung-Eun, Alchemy of Souls, Voice) are investigating a series of mysterious murders that occurred in the vicinity of the burial ground. As they begin to uncover clues, the picture that emerges points to Hyun-joo and Young-Ho being the next victims…

The Bequeathed, a Netflix Original, premieres globally on Friday, January 19, 2024, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
