Netflix has set the global premiere date for Ripley, a new crime thriller series starring Andrew Scott. Check out the teaser trailer.

Based on characters created by author Patricia Highsmith in The Talented Mr. Ripley and other titles in her “Ripley” novel series, new crime thriller TV series Ripley stars Primetime Emmy® Award nominee Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers, Fleabag, Sherlock) as Tom Ripley, a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York. After a wealthy man asks Ripley to travel to Italy to try to convince his vagabond son to return home, Ripley’s acceptance of the job is the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud, and murder.

Costars include Dakota Fanning (The First Lady, The Alienist) as Marge Sherwood as Johnny Flynn (The Lovers, Lovesick) as Dickie Greenleaf.

Ripley, a Netflix Series, premieres Thursday, April 4, 2024, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)

Directed and written by Oscar® winner Steven Zaillian (Schindler’s List, The Irishman, Gangs of New York), the eight-episode limited series is co-produced by Showtime and Endemol Shine North America in association with Entertainment 360 and Filmrights. The executive producers are Steven Zaillian, Garrett Basch, Clayton Townsend, Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner, Sharon Levy, and Philipp Keel of Diogenes. Scott serves as a producer on the series.
