Netflix has set the global premiere date for Chicken Nugget, a quirky comedy-mystery series from South Korea. Check out the teaser trailer.

The new Korean series Chicken Nugget sounds about as off the wall as they come, but hey, if it cracks me up they way the Japanese series Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure did, then I’m in.
Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name created by Park Ji-dok, Chicken Nugget stars Ryu Seung-ryong (Moving, The Good Bad Mother, Kingdom) as Choi Sun-man, the owner of the More Than Machine company, and Ahn Jae-hong (Mask Girl, Time to Hunt) as Ko Baek-joong, an intern at Sun-man’s company.
One day, Sun-man’s daughter (and Baek-joong’s secret crush), Min-ah (Kim You-jung, My Demon), pops by the company and becomes curious about a purple cabinet. Before anyone can say, “Abracadabra!” or simply “Stop!” a mishap occurs and Min-ah gets turned into a chicken nugget. Shocked by what’s happened, a desperate Sun-man and Baek-joong try to comprehend the situation and figure out how to restore Min-ah to her human form.
Chicken Nugget, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Friday, March 15, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now at www.netflix.com/ChickenNugget.)
Written and directed by Lee Byeong-heon (Extreme Job, Be Melodramatic), the series also features Jung Ho-yeon (Squid Game) as Hongcha, the top Korean culinary columnist.
