Paramount+ announced today the premiere date for the highly-anticipated fifth and final season of the hit sci-fi drama series Star Trek: Discovery.
When Star Trek: Discovery returns with its fifth and final season, we will see Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncover a mystery — one that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well: dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.
The Season 5 cast includes Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead) as Captain Burnham, Doug Jones (What We Do in the Shadows) as Saru, Anthony Rapp (The Good Fight) as Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman (Longmire) as Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz (13 Reasons Why) as Dr. Hugh Culber, David Ajala (Supergirl) as Cleveland “Book” Booker, Blu del Barrio (The Listener) as Adira, and Callum Keith Rennie (The Man in the High Castle) as Rayner. The final season also features recurring guest stars Elias Toufexis (New Amsterdam) as L’ak and Eve Harlow (The Night Agent) as Moll.
Star Trek: Discovery: Season 5 premieres with two episodes on Thursday, April 4, in the US, UK, Switzerland, South Korea, Latin America, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, and Austria, exclusively on Paramount+. New episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays through May 30.
The final season will also premiere on April 4 on P+ in Canada.
Seasons 1-4 are currently available for streaming on Paramount+ in the US, UK, Switzerland, South Korea, Latin America, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, and Austria.
The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Sonequa Martin-Green, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers. Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise serve as co-showrunners.
