AMC Networks has announced the premiere date for Season 2 of gothic horror drama series Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. Check out the trailer.
Based on the eponymous novel by New York Times best-selling author Anne Rice, the first title in her “Vampire Chronicles” book series, gothic horror TV series Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire revolves around the life story of vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac, as recounted by him to journalist Daniel Molloy.
Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones, Doctor Who) stars in the series as Louis de Pointe du Lac, along with Sam Reid (The Newsreader, Lambs of God) as Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt, Eric Bogosian (Billions, Law & Order: Criminal Intent) as journalist Daniel Molloy, and Assad Zaman (Hotel Portofino, Small Axe) as Vampire Armand. Joining the Season 2 cast are Delainey Hayles (Holby City), who steps in as teen Vampire Claudia, and Ben Daniels (The Crown) as Vampire Santiago, the leading actor of the Théâtre des Vampires troupe.
Following on from the events in Season 1, the 2022 interview between Louis and Molloy continues, picking up from the bloody events in New Orleans in 1940, when Louis and Claudia conspired to kill Lestat. Louis tells of his adventures in Europe with Claudia, including a quest to discover Old World Vampires and the Théâtre Des Vampires in Paris. It is in Paris that Louis first meets the Vampire Armand (Zaman). Their courtship and love affair will prove to have devastating consequences in both the past and the future, and Molloy will probe to get to the truths buried within the memories.
Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire: Season 2 premieres in the US on Sunday, May 12, on AMC and AMC+.
The new season is executive produced by Mark Johnson, creator and showrunner Rolin Jones, and Mark Taylor, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.
