The Brazilian true-crime drama film, The Park Maniac, is set for its global premiere.
Fans of international true-crime dramas, here’s another one for you: The Park Maniac.
The film delves into the story of a motorcycle courier named Francisco (Silvero Pereira, Pantanal), who was convicted of attacking 23 women and murdering ten of them in the Parque do Estado in São Paulo in the 1990s.
The serial killer’s story and the details of his psychopathy are revealed by Elena (Giovanna Grigio, Rebelde), a rookie reporter who uses the investigation of crimes committed by the maniac as a way to boost her career. While Francisco lives freely, skating in parks and attacking women, his fame in the tabloids grows, causing terror in Brazil’s capital.
The Park Maniac, an Amazon Original Movie, premieres globally on Friday, October 18, exclusively on Prime Video.
