For folks who’d like to understand the complexities that real FBI agents face with their most challenging and demanding cases, then FBI True is for you, as well as for true-crime junkies in general.
In the sixth season of FBI True, we once again get to see how the split-second decisions made by FBI agents can make the difference between life or death. The series shares the raw emotional stories of the agents as they relive the heart-stopping moments of their biggest cases, revealing new details of how they foiled major criminal and terrorist plots. For each case that’s covered in the show, viewers are introduced to the FBI agents who took great personal risks in the line of duty.
As with earlier seasons, Season 6’s eight stories — some standalone episodes, some two-parters — are about high-profile cases that made headlines in the US, including the race to find the killer of fashion designer Gianni Versace, who was gunned down outside of his home in Miami Beach in 1997.
Other stories are about: the “Pizza Bomber,” a pizza delivery driver who claimed he was delivering an order when a group of men attacked him, put a bomb on him, and forced him to rob a bank; Annie Le, a brilliant Yale PhD student whose sudden disappearance sparked a relentless FBI investigation; the mysterious deaths of eight veterans at a VA hospital; the investigation into the growing list of missing persons in the Boulder, Colorado, area; the FBI’s shocking discoveries after the acquittal of Miami’s drug kingpins; a slew of Denver bank robberies committed in 2015 by bandits wearing masks from the horror film Scream; and the multi-state, multi-subject case centered on The Base, a violent white supremacist group.
FBI True: Season 6 premieres in the US as a twelve-episode binge on Tuesday, January 14, exclusively on Paramount+ and its digital channels, including Paramount+ on Prime Channels.
