Set against the backdrop of coastal North Carolina, The Waterfront dives into the lives of the flawed Buckley family, as their attempts to retain control of their crumbling fishing empire drive them to increasingly dangerous means to keep themselves afloat.

The lead cast includes Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, 61st Street), Maria Bello (NCIS, Beef), Jake Weary (Animal Kingdom, Message from the King), Melissa Benoist (Supergirl, The Girls on the Bus), Rafael L. Silva (9-1-1: Lone Star, Madam Secretary), Humberly González (Ginny & Georgia, Nurses), Danielle Campbell (The Originals, Tell Me a Story), and Brady Hepner (FBI: International, Chicago Fire).

For decades, the Buckley family has ruled Havenport, North Carolina, dominating everything from the local fishing industry to the town’s restaurant scene. But with patriarch Harlan Buckley (Holt McCallany) recovering from two heart attacks, their fishing empire has started to crumble, forcing his wife, Belle (Maria Bello), and son, Cane (Jake Weary), to venture into the deep end to keep the family businesses afloat.

As their attempts spiral out of control and into treacherous waters, Harlan steps back in to take command. Meanwhile, Buckley daughter Bree (Melissa Benoist), an addict in recovery who’s lost custody of her son, is forced to face her demons and finds herself entangled in a complicated relationship that could threaten the family’s future forever.
