Fans of Resident Alien, it’s happy dance time! The awesome series is returning with its fourth season next month!

I love this show so much, this news has made me giddy with joy. Other fans are probably feeling similarly, too.
For folks unfamiliar with the fabulous Resident Alien, the series follows an extraterrestrial, played by Emmy® nominee Alan Tudyk (Con Man, Harley Quinn, Grimsburg), who crash-lands in Patience, a small town in Colorado, where he calls himself Harry Vanderspeigle, having taken the identity of the town doctor, whom he killed. Harry’s come to Earth to destroy humanity, but soon finds himself developing a fondness for humankind and ends up defending us against other aliens.
Because a lot happens in the first three seasons — from Harry being found out as an alien, to his falling in love with a fish-eyed, bird-bodied alien, to his being imprisoned — I recommend you watch them (streaming on Peacock), which will not just get you caught up on the show but entertain you immensely in the process.
As for Season 4, it opens with Harry (Alan Tudyk) and his baby, Bridget, stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase, while a shape-shifting alien called a Mantid (also Alan Tudyk) has taken over his body on Earth and is passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle. After Harry manages to escape from the Greys, he arrives back on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid Alien, but soon finds that he may not have what he needs to finish the job.
Meanwhile, doctor’s assistant Asta (Sara Tomko, Once Upon a Time) and her pub-owning best friend, D’arcy (Alice Wetterlund, People of Earth), struggle to keep a secret from Mayor Ben Hawthorne (Levi Fiehler, Mars) and his schoolteacher wife, Kate (Meredith Garretson, The Offer), who are both desperate to find answers to what has been happening to them. Elsewhere in Patience, Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds, Murder in the First) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen, Laid) attempt to solve some mysterious deaths that Sheriff Mike is beginning to think aren’t caused by anything human.
Resident Alien: Season 4 premieres Friday, June 6, at 11pm ET/PT, on USA and Syfy, with streaming available on Peacock one week after air.
Based on the Dark Horse comics (#ad), the series also stars Judah Prehn (Mythic Quest) as Max, the mayor’s son, with Gary Farmer (Reservation Dogs), Gracelyn Awad Rinke (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Jenna Lamia (The Perfect Couple), Sarah Podemski (Reservation Dogs), Linda Hamilton (“Terminator” films), Enver Gjokaj (Agent Carter), Terry O’Quinn (Lost), and Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones) also returning for the new season. Guest stars include Jewel Staite (Stargate: Atlantis) and Stephen Root (Barry). Alan Tudyk makes his television directorial debut in Season 4, helming the first two episodes.
From UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group in association with Amblin TV and Dark Horse Entertainment, Resident Alien was adapted to television by executive producer Chris Sheridan. Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank of Amblin TV, and Robert Duncan McNeill and Nastaran Dibai also executive produce.
