Green Bones explores the conflict between justice, personal vendetta, and moral boundaries.
The film centers on two men. One is Domingo Zamora (Dennis Trillo, Red Sun, Love Before Sunrise), a convicted murderer who is set to be released from prison. The other is Xavier Gonzaga (Ruru Madrid, Lolong, Black Rider), a new prison guard who aims to keep Domingo incarcerated.
Green Bones has its global streaming premiere on Thursday, June 19, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
A production of GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, co-produced with Brightburn Entertainment, the film, directed by Zig Dulay (Widows’ War), won the Best Picture, Best Screenplay (Ricky Lee and Angeli Guidaya-Atienza), Best Actor (Dennis Trillo), Best Supporting Actor (Ruru Madrid), Best Cinematography (Neil Daza), and Best Child Performer (Sienna Stevens) awards at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival.
