Netflix has set the global premiere date for Master of the House, a new mystery thriller series from Thailand.
The new Thai series Master of the House promises to be a thrilling exploration of human ambition and the extremes to which people will go to fulfill their desires.
Everything kicks off with the mysterious death of diamond tycoon Roongroj (Teerapong Leowrakwong), prompting all eyes to turn to Kaimook (Narilya Gulmongkolpech, Postman), the family’s now-former housemaid and Roongroj’s new wife-turned-widow. Needless to say, amidst the grieving there is drama galore, as Roongroj’s sons and daughters-in-law become embroiled in a cutthroat battle over the deceased tycoon’s estate.
This spicy, soapy mystery thriller series looks at the conflict from the perspective of the tormented servants, who’ve been suppressing their resentment over the immensely wealthy family’s poor treatment of them — especially as they have been helping to cover up their employers’ dirty secrets.
Master of the House, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Thursday, July 18, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
Costars in the series include Chartayodom Hiranyasthiti (My Undercover Chef) as Phupat, the eldest son, who is leading the family business; Thanavate Siriwattanagul (OMG! Oh My Girl) as Mavin, the savvy younger son; Nusba Punnakanta (Nee Sanaeha) as Padcha, Phupat’s wife; Claudia Chakrabandhu Na Ayudhya (The Three Gentle Bros) as former actress Araya, Mavin’s snobbish wife; and Tassawan Saeneewong (The Sign) as Yupin, the head housemaid.
