Netflix has set the global premiere date for The Perfect Couple, a new mystery drama limited series with a top-notch cast. Check out the teaser trailer.
Based on The Perfect Couple, the New York Times best-selling novel by Elin Hilderbrand, the six-episode mystery drama The Perfect Couple follows Amelia Sacks, a deeply-in-love young woman who is about to marry her ideal man, the handsome Benji Winbury of the Winburys, the wealthiest family on the island of Nantucket.
Amelia’s mother-in-law-to-be is famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, who has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the summer. However, on the morning of what is supposed to be Amelia and Benji’s wedding day, a body is found floating in the harbor.
As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life police investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Now, instead of attending the wedding of the year, all of the guests are suspects.
The Perfect Couple, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Thursday, September 5, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
Eve Hewson (Flora and Son, Bad Sisters) and Billy Howle (Under the Banner of Heaven, The Serpent) play the bride and groom, Amelia Sacks and Benji Winbury. Nicole Kidman (A Family Affair, Being the Recardos) and Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan, Asteroid City) play Benji’s parents, Greer Garrison Winbury and Tag Winbury.
Dakota Fanning (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Ripley) plays Abby Winbury, Benji’s sister, and Jack Reynor (Midsommar, The Peripheral) and Sam Nivola (Maestro, White Noise) play his brothers, Thomas and Will, respectively.
Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus, The Bold Type) plays Merritt Monaco, Amelia’s best friend, and Ishaan Khattar (Beyond The Clouds, A Suitable Boy) plays Shooter Dival, Benji’s best friend.
Mia Isaac (Not Okay, Black Cake) plays Chloe Carter, the Chief of Police’s daughter, and Donna Lynne Champlin (Crazy Ex Girlfriend, The First Lady) plays Nikki Henry, the police detective.
Last but not least, legendary French actress Isabelle Adjani (Camille Claudel, The Story of Adele H) has a recurring role, playing Winbury family friend Isabel Nallet.
Directed and executive produced by Susanne Bier (The Night Manager, The Undoing), the limited series is showrun and executive produced by Jenna Lamia (Resident Alien, Good Girls). Also serving as Executive Producer is author Elin Hilderbrand.
