Said showrunner Ian McCulloch about Teacup:

“… the series is… a puzzle-box mystery, an edge-of-your-seat thriller, a can’t-but-must look horror story, a family drama, a science fiction epic—of the keyhole variety…”

Alrighty, then!

Inspired by the New York Times best-selling novel, Stinger, by Robert McCammon, Teacup follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive.

Things are not looking good for these folks in the trailer, from the knife-holding older woman to the blood-smeared young boy, in and around what looks to be a haunted barn…

Teacup, a Peacock Original, premieres in the US with two episodes on Thursday, October 10, exclusively on Peacock. (You can add it to your stuff now.) New half-hour episodes will drop in pairs on Thursdays through the season finale on October 31 (Halloween!).

The series stars Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale), Scott Speedman (Grey’s Anatomy), Chaske Spencer (The English), Kathy Baker (The Ranch), Boris McGiver (Evil), Caleb Dolden (General Hospital), Emilie Bierre (Transplant), and Luciano Leroux (Yellowjackets).

Written and executive produced by Ian McCulloch (Yellowstone, Deputy, Chicago Fire), Teacup is directed by E.L. Katz (The Haunting of Bly Manor, Channel Zero) (episodes 101, 102), who also executive produces.

A production of Atomic Monster from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, the series is executive produced by James Wan (The Conjuring Universe, Archive 81, M3GAN), Michael Clear (Archive 81, Swamp Thing), and Rob Hackett (Archive 81, I Know What You Did Last Summer) for Atomic Monster, Francisca X. Hu, and Kevin Tancharoen. Author Robert McCammon also serves as an executive producer.
