Netflix’s El Eternauta is the first screen adaptation of the late 1950s Argentine graphic novel of the same name written by Héctor G. Oesterheld and illustrated by Francisco Solano López.

The six-episode series follows Juan Salvo, who, along with a group of people who survived a deadly snowstorm that killed millions, fights against an alien threat controlled by an invisible force.

Starring as Juan Salvo is Ricardo Darín (Argentina, 1985, Everybody Knows). His fellow cast mates include Carla Peterson (Almost Happy), César Troncoso (The Dreamseller), Andrea Pietra (El Tigre Verón), Ariel Staltari (El marginal), Marcelo Subiotto (Community Squad), Claudio Martínez Bel (The Crimes That Bind), Orianna Cárdenas, and Mora Fisz (Tierra Incógnita).

A production of K&S Films, El Eternauta is directed by multi-awards winner Bruno Stagnaro (Pizza, Beer, and Cigarettes), who co-wrote the series with Ariel Staltari. Martín M. Oesterheld, grandson of the graphic novel’s author, serves on the series as a creative consultant.

Stay tuned for updates.
