Disney+ has set the global premiere date for Dashing Through the Snow, a new holiday comedy film starring Lil Rel Howery and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. Check out the trailer.
So, the trailer for Dashing Through the Snow looks really cute and funny, so I’m adding the movie to my already-growing holiday-themed to-watch list.
The story follows Eddie Garrick (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, The Ride), a goodhearted man who’s turned his back on Christmas due to a traumatic childhood experience. At the request of his wife, Allison Garrick (Teyonah Parris, WandaVision), from whom he is separated, Eddie takes his 9-year-old daughter, Charlotte (Madison Skye Validum, Ivy + Bean), out with him on Christmas Eve. But before they head out, a mysterious man in a red suit named Nick (Lil Rel Howery, Get Out) shows up unexpectedly — in Eddie’s chimney. Eddie, a social worker for the Atlanta Police, thinks Nick is delusional and needs professional help. But when he evokes the wrath of a local politician (Oscar Nuñez, Mr. Iglesias), he and his daughter are taken on a magical adventure that just might restore his faith in Christmas.
Dashing Through the Snow premieres globally on Friday, November 17, exclusively on Disney+.
Costars include Ravi V. Patel (Master of None), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Gina Brillon (The Conners), Sebastian Sozzi (Fear the Walking Dead), Kevin Connolly (Entourage), and Zulay Henao (If Loving You Is Wrong).
Directed by Tim Story (Shaft) and written by Scott Rosenberg (Life on Mars), Dashing Through the Snow is produced by John Jacobs and Will Packer, with Tim Story, Johanna Byer, Ross Fanger, and Zac Unterman serving as executive producers.
