Feud: Capote vs. The Swans (Season 2) (US)
The long-awaited second season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series promises to be as riveting as Season 1, which was about the legendary rivalry between actresses Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. Season 2, based on Laurence Leamer’s best-selling book Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era, centers on the infamous falling-out between author-screenwriter Truman Capote and the wealthy New York socialites he called his “swans.” In 1975, Esquire magazine published “La Côte Basque 1965” (a chapter of his unfinished novel Answered Prayers), in which Capote revealed the women’s secrets. The backlash was swift and merciless and turned Capote into a social pariah.
The all-star cast includes Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal), Diane Lane (Under the Tuscan Sun), Demi Moore (Ghost), Molly Ringwald (Pretty in Pink), Chloë Sevigny (Big Love), Naomi Watts (The Impossible), the late Treat Williams (Everwood), and Tom Hollander (The White Lotus) as Truman Capote.
Feud: Capote vs. The Swans premieres in the US on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 10pm ET/PT, on FX/FXX, with streaming available on Hulu starting February 1.
