Prime Video has set the premiere date for The Pickup, a new action-comedy film starring Eddie Murphy.
Oscar® nominee Eddie Murphy (Dreamgirls, “Beverly Hills Cop” and “Shrek” films) leads the cast of the new action-comedy, The Pickup, alongside Primetime Emmy® winner Keke Palmer (Nope, Berlin Station) and Pete Davidson (Saturday Night Live, Bupkis).
In the film, a routine cash pickup takes a wild turn when two mismatched armored truck drivers, Russell (Eddie Murphy) and Travis (Pete Davidson), are ambushed by ruthless criminals led by savvy mastermind, Zoe (Keke Palmer), with plans that go way beyond the cash cargo. As chaos unfolds around them, the unlikely duo must navigate high-risk danger, clashing personalities, and one very bad day that keeps getting worse.
The Pickup premieres globally on Wednesday, August 6, exclusively on Prime Video.
Also featuring in the film are Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Ismael Cruz Cordova (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Jack Kesy (Claws), Andrew Dice Clay (Dice), Marshawn Lynch (Westworld), and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i (WWE).
