Netflix has set the premiere dates for the two-part premiere of Gyeongseong Creature, the highly-anticipated South Korean horror series. Check out the announcement video.
Set in the spring of 1945 at the mysterious Ongseong Hospital in Gyeongseong (a former name of Seoul), Gyeongseong Creature follows Jang Tae-sang (Park Seo-jun, Itaewon Class, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, The Marvels), the owner of the House of Golden Treasure pawnshop and the wealthiest, most well-connected person in Gyeongseong, and Yoon Chae-ok (Han So-hee, My Name, Nevertheless, Abyss), a sleuth with a reputation for the impossible. Together, they delve into the mysterious and tumultuous world around them as they fight for survival and face a creature born from human greed.
Gyeongseong Creature, a Netflix Series, premieres globally in two parts — the seven-episode Part 1 on Friday, December 22, 2023, followed by the three-episode Part 2 on Friday, January 5, 2024 — exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The ensemble cast includes Claudia Kim (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Avengers: Age of Ultron), Kim Hae-sook (Strong Girl Nam-soon, Hospital Playlist), Cho Han-cheul (Vincenzo, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha), and Wi Ha-jun (Squid Game, Bad and Crazy).
