The trailer for Adhura looks really good — and really scary. The young boy reminds me of Damien in The Omen, but here he isn’t the son of Lucifer.

Set at an elite boarding school, Adhura reveals just how terrifying the repercussions of a past deed can be in the present. It’s 2022, and the Nilgiri Valley School is hosting the fifteenth reunion for the batch of 2007 students. But the celebration isn’t filled with happy memories and laughs-filled catching up for all of the former students. For Adhiraj Jaisingh, it is a time of reckoning. He must now face what he did fifteen years ago.

Meanwhile, strange events have been occurring at the school, and they seem to be connected to Vedant, a 10-year-old new student. Then, when Vedant and Adhiraj’s paths collide, things take a horrifying turn — when a dark secret begins to reveal itself and threatens the lives of everyone on campus.

The lead cast includes Rasika Dugal (Delhi Crime), Ishwak Singh (Rocket Boys), and Shrenik Arora (The Night Manager).

Adhura, an Amazon Original Series, premieres globally on Thursday/Friday, July 6/7 (depending on your time zone), exclusively on Prime Video. Check Prime Video for the launch date and time in your location; in the US, the series drops on July 6 at 2:30pm ET; it launches in the UK on July 6 at 7:30pm BST.
